Molly Pipes Up

As our family was driving home from Jamba Juice tonight, Kevin and I were talking about a city meeting tomorrow to discuss improving McLoughlin Blvd. Anyone who has driven along the blvd. knows how incredibly ugly it really is. Run-down plazas, car lot after car lot after car lot, nothing at all aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Well, Kevin says that he wishes they would tear down an eye-sore-of-a plaza near our home. I then say they also need to tear down all the "girly" places as well. Molly, however, quickly pipes up and says, "I LIKE ALL THOSE GIRLY PLACES!" Needless to say, Kevin and I chuckled over our 6-yr.-old's naivete. It was just a small chuckle, though, because we know that it won't be long before our daughter's innocent eyes/mind will be blasted open to far too many unsavory things of this world. If only she could stay young forever. . . . .

  1. That is hilarious. When we first started driving over to your house... Cash would always ask "Are we there yet?" So we started giving him landmarks to look for. One of the landmarks is the Acropolis... which we called "The Circus"... due to it's blue and white stripes, twinkling lights, and of course... what goes on inside. So now every time we drive over to your house and we drive by it... Cash says: "There's the circus!" I have a feeling there is going to be some confusion about all this in the coming years! Yikes! In the meantime we just laugh. Yes Cash, it IS quite a circus in there!

  2. When I drove Zoe to school, we would drive by the "Candy Store." Zoe always wanted to stop there, but I always said we were running late and didn't have time to stop.
